We're smack dab in the middle of giving season, and I'm facing off with my tendency to hold back the best of myself.

The quick convergence of marriage, motherhood and modern home economics was disorienting, and all of the responsibilities felt too heavy to hold.

So, I got into the habit of giving sparingly. Begrudgingly even. In the name of self preservation.

But now that I am resurfacing from the depths of early postpartum, I am ready to enter a new paradigm.
